From November 27th to 29th, Arkema-ArrMaz, an Arkema company and a global leading phosphate aids manufacturer, exhibited at 2020 China Phosphate Fertilizer & Compound Fertilizer Exhibition (CPCF), the 21th Homemade Hight Analysis Phosphate Fertilizer & Compound Fertilizer Trade Fair for the first time, on booth #N5 B-20, International Convention Center of Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition. At this exhibition, Arkema-ArrMaz presented its advanced products and technical solutions in phosphate aids, and had heated discussions with professionals in local fertilizer community to have a deep insight into market demands, so as to contribute to the further development of its brand and products and support the rapidly growing Chinese fertilizer market.
Arkema starts up its 50% capacity increase of Kynar® fluoropolymer for the lithium-ion battery business at its Changshu plant in China in December 2020, with the first commercial supplies for January 2021.
On November 19, the 7th Corporate Social Responsibility Awards Ceremony sponsored by the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) was held in Nanjing. Arkema (China) Investment Co., Ltd Changshu Branch was granted the MNC award “Leadership in CSR & Sustainable Growth”. This is the second time that Arkema has won the award since 2019, reflecting Arkema’s firm determination to adhere to the sustainable development strategy and actively drive corporate social responsibility projects in China.

Today, Arkema successfully placed its first ever Green Bond fully dedicated to the financing of its new world-scale plant in Singapore to manufacture 100% bio-based Rilsan® polyamide 11. Arkema announces an innovative and long-term partnership with Nutrien Ltd, the largest integrated agricultural company in the world, for the supply of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride to Arkema’s Calvert City (KY) site. This project has many advantages as it secures a competitive access to anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, the main raw material for fluorine chemistry, it supports the growth of fluoropolymers in the attractive segments of water treatment, electronics and batteries, and it offers greater environmental protection than more traditional production processes.

The combined annual general meeting of Arkema’s shareholders was held on 19 May 2020, at the Company’s headquarters in Colombes, France, under the chairmanship of Thierry Le Hénaff, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
The Group’s results are in line with expectations, in a first quarter marked by the coronavirus outbreak in Asia and its spread to Europe in March.
