Arkema Changshu site
With 5 manufacturing plants, Arkema Changshu site is now the biggest industrial platform of Arkema worldwide, employeeing around 860 people.
As the biggest industrial site of Arkema Group worldwide, Arkema Changshu site is located in Advanced Material Industrial Park in the city of Changshu of Jiangsu Province in China.
Arkema Changshu was established in 1998, covering an area of 430,000 m². The site has been keeping growing since its establishment and has now 5 different Arkema plants.
In 2012, the first Arkema China research and development center was opened in Changshu site.
Plants in Arkema Changshu
Arkema Daikin Advanced Fluorochemicals (Changshu) Co., Ltd.
The plant is a joint venture operation of Arkema (60%) and Daikin Industries (40%). It utilizes a highly efficient Arkema developed manufacturing process to ensure that the production is of the highest and most consistent quality. The plant operates a world class HFC 125 unit, as well as a blending unit that started in Q2 2012 to produce new generation refrigerants (R410a/R404a/R407c/R507).
Arkema (Changshu) Chemicals Co., Ltd.
This modern organic peroxides plant in Changshu is using the most advanced safety measures and the most competitive technologies. With an annual capacity of 3,000 Mt, the plant is set up to meet the growing demand of key players in the both domestic and international markets. The second line expansion project is under planning.
Changshu Coatex Additives Co., Ltd.
Coatex Additives Co., Ltd. is in production since 2011, with an annual production capacity of 80,000 tons to serve Asia’s fast-growing paint, mineral processing, construction and paper markets.
Arkema coating resins plant
In order to meet the increasing demand of the consumer market for high technology latex polymers in China, Arkema decided to build 50,000 metric tons high technology latex polymers project in Arkema Changshu site. The plant was started in 2013. By doing this, Arkema coating resins will better serve the customers.
