With operations in more than 120 locations (80 plants and 6 research centers) located in over 40 countries, with 15,200 employees worldwide, Arkema is a leading world-class producer in most of its markets with sales of € 5.7 billion.

Arkema consists of 3 related and integrated business segments:
Vinyl Products, with all the advantages of a well-integrated sector;
Industrial Chemicals, backed by excellent process know-how; and
Performance Products, supported by a research program focused on the materials of tomorrow.

Research and Development

 
With its 6 research centers in France, the United States and Japan and a 1,400-strong research team, Arkema devotes over 3% of its sales to R&D in an effort to develop increasingly innovative products, optimize output at its production facilities, and develop new processes. Arkema research staff is also engaged on long-term projects that are paving the way for tomorrow's chemicals. Its research is directed toward renewable chemical resources. Arkema is investing now in the chemistry of the future by drawing the best elements from raw plant materials, while preserving natural resources.
