Arkema, as the third largest hydrogen peroxide producer in the world, created a joint venture company in February 1996 with Shanghai Coking and Chemical Corporation (SCCC). The JV's product is sold mainly to the Chinese market as well as exported to other Asian countries.
With a production capacity of 80,000 tons and making use of the latest technology, Arkema is able to produce high quality products in different concentrations (35%, 50%, 60%, 70%) for industrial uses as well as high purity H2O2, for use in food packaging sterilization.
Having recently doubled the production capacity to 80,000 tons, Arkema is able to provide the high level of service required by our customers in the Asia area. With this expansion, we were able to increase the product range, thereby also producing high purity food grade and electronic grade products, as well as tailor-made products at the customer's request.
Arkema is very much committed to the hydrogen peroxide business on a global scale and continues to look for growth opportunities, especially in the Asian region, together with its joint venture partner Shanghai Coking.
