Established in March 1996, Arkema (Guangzhou) Chemicals Co., Ltd., part of the Arkema Guangzhou Industrial Park, located in Guangzhou Yong He Economic and Technological Development Zone. In 2002, Arkema (Guangzhou) Chemicals Co., Ltd. was transformed from a joint venture enterprise to a French wholly owned enterprise.
At Arkema (Guangzhou) Chemicals Co., Ltd., two different groups of products are produced. They are: opacifier (zircon silicate) and PET catalyst (antimony triacetate).
In July 1999 and December 2001, the plant was accredited with ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 by the TÜV Company of Germany and awarded ISRS level 7 certificate by DNV in August 2007.
Arkema (Guangzhou) Chemicals Co., Ltd. has been growing its business in opacifiers and in catalysts. Opacifiers capacity has doubled to 10,000 MT and PET catalysts capacity has tripled to 3,500 MT. Today, Arkema (Guangzhou) Chemicals Co., Ltd. is the global production and supply center of both our opacifiers and PET catalysts to the customers worldwide.
