Arkema has been working to reducing our environmental footprint and will
continue to drive down the environmental and health impact of our
operations by reducing waste, emissions and discharges, and using energy
efficiently. In China, Arkema conducted a survey from the very beginning
to report the emission quantity of greenhouse gases (GHG), wastes
produced, energy consumption etc called REED (Reporting of Environmental
and Energy Data). We are voluntary to publish our environmental

incinerator to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is in service in May
2008, Arkema’s global GHG emissions will have been divided by six since
1990, the baseline year of the Kyoto Protocol. |

ASHP got the title of honour "Reliable Environment Protection Enterprises"
awarded by Minhang environment protection bureau of Shanghai. Both the
wastewater and exhaust gas reach discharge standard, the solid waste is

In the legal sense, ASC does not have GHG, wastewater, solid waste and
exhaust gas at the present time.

ARKEMA Guangzhou Chemicals Co., Ltd. (AGC):
AGC got the title of honour "Environment Protection Charity Enterprises of
Guangdong" awarded by Guangdong Environmental Protection Foundation. The
wastewater reach discharge standard. AGC has been working to improving
process and recycling mother solution. The wastewater generated from S-21
production department is reduced by 64% per specific yield; the wastewater
generated from 500W production department can be recycled 100%, this will reduce 180,00 tons wastewater per year. |
